By now you have probably guessed that I rather like chocolate. I was in London with a couple of friends on Saturday, bit of a girls day out :-). We decided to go and check out the new Choccywoccydoohdah London shop that only opened a couple of months ago.
Its in the perfect location, right in the heart of Soho, just off Carnaby Street in Fouberts Place. It is away from the mad traffic of Oxford Street, in a pedestrianised area, yet very close to the tube.
The style is quirky and eccentric. Black on the outside and bright red on the inside with a delectable collection of chocolate cakes from the simple yet elegant house cake to the complex lady in the window and a Alice in Wonderland themed cake. These are examples of their bespoke cakes. They can literally create anything you can imagine as a cake. They are truly works of art.
The collection of chocolates is just as impressive. Everything from white chocolate Westie puppies to boxes of truffles and everything in between.
Upstairs they have a chocolate bar and we couldn’t resist trying some delicacies. We chose chocolate cake, tiffin and a chocolate dipping plate and all were deliciously indulgent. They also served some French lemonade and great coffee. There are lots of other lovely treats so you will have to pay them a visit and try something yourself.
I treated myself to some Belgian chocolate callets (mini chocolate buttons). Perfect for decorating a luxury chocolate cake or just to eat on their own when you fancy a little chocolate fix.
I really must get down to Brighton to see the main shop and Bar du Chocolat. Brighton is where Choccywoccydoohdah started and their home.
